Celebrating Dr. Seuss

We celebrate Dr. Seuss every March.

We begin by dressing up.
There are always a lot of "things" in the classroom on that day.

The Grinch

A  few Cats in Hats

Cindy Lou Who

Another Thing

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

Oh the Places You'll Go

Sally

Experiencing some oobleck

We drew the Cat in the Hat.
This was actually done earlier in the week. We wore hats that day.

We all made cat hats.

And of course, we ended the day with snacks.

100 Day!

In February, we celebrated 100 Day!

Of course Zero the Hero came for a visit.

He brought us treats.

He read stories.

We made A LOT of things with 100 that day.

Misc Things

Here are a few things we have done since we've been back in the classroom.

Officer Harmelink talked to us about staying safe at school.

We had a library party.

We learned about the tabernacle and saw a model of all the parts.
You can find all the instructions for building one at home if you click on the picture.

Someone donated a huge bin of large Legos.
We love this for indoor recess.

For art, we got to paint, and that is simply the best thing ever if you are a kindergartner.

A special show and tell one day was a box of baby chicks.

We had a hot cocoa stand to play in.

And we did yoga for indoor recess.

Christmas

 Christmas in the Classroom

We spend much of December learning about the birth of Jesus.
The last day before break is a day of celebration.

Silly Christmas mad libs

Pizza for lunch - again, thank you moms!

A gift for our parents - a snowman as tall as we are in Kinder so we can watch ourselves grow.
